If there is one illustrator of the last half century that is considered the artist's artist, then it's a good bet that we are talking about Bernie Fuchs. Before he was thirty years old, Bernie was named Artist of the Year by the Artists Guild of New York, and he was also the youngest artist ever to be inducted in the Society of Illustrators' Hall of Fame. Over his extraordinarily diverse and varied career as an Illustrator and painter, Bernie has received over 100 awards, including the Hamilton King Award, along with five gold medals, and five silver medals from the Society. Bernie's work has adorned the covers and pages of almost every major magazine like SPORTS ILLUSTRATED, TIME, and TV GUIDE. His commissions have included portraits of many presidents, public and pop cultural figures. Bernie's portraits of President John F. Kennedy now hang in the permanent collection of the Kennedy Library in Cambridge Massachusetts.
